A five-day exhibition opened on Aug 28 in Yangquan in northern Shanxi province in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, according to a report in the Yangquan Evening News.

The exhibition, staged at Yangquan Exhibition Hall, displays some 500 photographs showcasing Yangquan’s scientific and technological development.

The photos are divided into two sections-- Historic Footprints and Step into the New Era -- and are displayed in chronological order.
