A comprehensive passenger transport project is near completion in Yangquan, in North China’s Shanxi province, with the main station building entering the renovation and decoration stage recently, according to the local media.

The project will be Yangquan’s first comprehensive transportation interchange center -- integrating railways, long-distance highways and public transportation. The main station building has a total construction area of 54,000 square meters and the total investment will be around 1 billion yuan ($143 million).

Construction work on the project began in 2018 and according to officials, the decoration of the main station building is expected to be complete by the end of October.
