Yu County People's Hospital was founded in 1946 and is located in Xiushui West Street, Yu County. After 73 years of construction and development, it has now become a comprehensive Class ⅡGrade A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care, rehabilitation and community service. It is the teaching base of Yangquan Health School and the contract hospital for urban and rural medical insurance in Yu County. It undertakes medical treatment and rescue tasks for 310,000 people in the county and the rescue tasks for public health emergencies.

The hospital has a total floor area of 59942.19 square meters, a construction area of 51466.23 square meters for business housing and the fixed assets of 140 million. The hospital has a total of 300 open beds. There are currently 558 employees working in the hospital. There are 14 clinical departments, five medical and technical departments, 12 functional departments and others: the health examination department.  Among them, the cardiovascular medicine department, the general surgery department, the neurology department, the orthopedics department, the department of obstetrics and gynecology, and the department of traditional Chinese medicine are the municipal key clinical specialties of Yangquan city, while neurodigestive medicine department, the neonatal medicine department, and the obstetrics department are the key specialties in the county. The annual number of outpatient and emergency cases is 200,000, and the annual number of hospitalizations is more than 14,000.  

Our hospital emphasizes the construction of specialized subjects, and draws lessons from the development ideas of "the internal medicine department close to the surgery department, the surgery department becoming minimally invasive and the minimally invasive surgery getting more precise" to promote the improvement of diagnosis and treatment disease structure and medical quality. One is to actively establish and prepare the "chest pain center" and the "stroke center" to establish and perfect the scientific rapid treatment mechanism for acute chest pain patients and improve the success rate of treatment. At the same time, we will coordinate and promote the "three coordination" mechanism of pre-hospital first aid, hospital emergency department, the department of cardiology, relevant departments in the hospital, and higher and lower medical institutions.  The construction of the "green channel" with a clear division of labor, strong coordination, smooth transportation and information sharing of the "province-wide model of the chest pain center" will drive the medical level of the whole hospital to a higher level. The second is to focus on the development of the pathology department, the endoscopy room, focus on the development of the mammary gland department, the orthopedics department, the gynecology department and other specialties, and support the development of ENT department. At the same time, we will actively establish and improve the system of stroke centers and trauma treatment centers so that more patients can receive timely treatment.
