Established in May 1958, the No 11 Middle School is located at No 10 Beidaxi Street of Yangquan, directly affiliated to the Municipal Bureau of Education.

The school covers a total area of 35,199.04 square meters and building area of 40,282 square meters. It is surrounded by trees, with a quiet and elegant environment. It has a 300-meter plastic runway.

The school includes a senior high school department and junior high school department with 61 classes in total holding more than 3,000 students. It has 255 teaching staff including two senior teachers, three special grade teachers, 73 head teachers, 102 intermediate teachers. Over 90 percent of teachers in the school hold bachelor degrees.

The school won the title of "famous school of Yangquan" in September 2013 and was awarded the "National Education Advanced Unit" in September 2014 by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
