Founded in 1976, Pingding County Maternal and Child Health Hospital is a middle second-class maternal and child healthcare hospital and a national baby-friendly hospital that integrates medical facility, health care, and public health services. It was formerly known as Pingding County Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning Service Center, merging with the former Pingding County Family Planning Service Station in 2015. It has five clinical departments of gynecology, maternal and maternity care, paediatrics, childcare, family planning and two medical and technical departments of functional and laboratory, with 16 sickbeds available. The whole center (hospital) has 100 staff, including 71 professional and technical personnel.

The center (hospital) currently is equipped with more than 30 large and medium-sized medical equipment such as Philips four-dimensional color ultrasound, Siemens Portable Color Ultrasound, Full-field Digital Mammography, Suspension DR System, BC-5390CR Automatic Five-classification Blood Cell Analyzer, 3-Part Differentiation Hematology Analyzer , Electrocardiogram, Gynecological Deep Atomization Therapy Instrument, Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, Mindray Anesthesia Machine, Electrocardiogram Monitor. The center has strong technical force to diagnose and treat various gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics common diseases, frequently-occurring diseases among various difficult diseases. With the new business building's total floor area of 5,594 sq. m., the center has eight gynecology and obstetrics VIP wards, maternal nutrition restaurant, baby bathing center, and child health care center that provide children with comprehensive health promotion services in nutrition, exercise, cognition, five senses, and disease prevention on the basis of comprehensive monitoring of children's growth and development.

The faculty of the center (hospital) will wholeheartedly exert their effort to serve all women and children's physical and mental health in the county.
