Cang Mountain
The Cang Mountain Scenic Area in Yu county, Shanxi province, with more than 2,600 years of history, is the most famous mountain in Shanxi's history. In Spring and Autumn period, a loyal officer's family were killed due to a dirty dog's unjust accusation, apart from that a baby was saved and hidden in this mountain, so the mountain was named Cang, meaning hide in Chinese. In the middle of the 18th century, the story was adapted by Voltaire, a famous French thinker, into The Orphan of Zhao, which was staged in Europe, becoming a worldwide sensation. The story is not only the embodiment of the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, but also an important part of world culture.
