A delegation from Taiyuan University of Technology (TYUT) visited Egypt from July 12 to 15 to enhance educational cooperation and global partnerships.
On July 12, the delegation arrived in Egypt and visited the Chinese Embassy. Ren Xiying, vice-president of TYUT, emphasized Egypt's significance as a key partner of the Belt and Road Initiative, stating that TYUT prioritizes cooperation with Egyptian institutions.
This visit aimed to deepen practical collaboration in talent cultivation, scientific research, and technology transfer between China and Egypt, jointly address socioeconomic development needs, and contribute to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnerships.
On July 13, the delegation visited the Egyptian Chinese University. The two universities signed an academic cooperation project agreement and held an unveiling ceremony for joint initiatives.
Ren presented Xu Yanhe, president of the Chinese Bridge Club in Cairo, with a letter of appointment as TYUT's special representative for Egypt cooperation.
On July 13, the delegation also visited the New Cairo Technological University. Following consultations, the two universities signed a memorandum of understanding on in-depth cooperation.
