The Taiyuan Metro Line 1 in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, is about to open. It spans a total length of 28.7 kilometers and has 24 stations, connecting multiple transportation hubs and commercial districts.
The Wuyi Square Metro Station features a unique architectural style that blends classical and modern elements, exuding both grandeur and elegance. Public facilities within the station, such as restrooms and nursing rooms, are fully equipped and kept clean and tidy.
The station is located at the intersection of Yingze Street and Wuyi Square, on the northern side of Yingze Street. It is an underground two-level station with the first underground level serving as the concourse and the second as the platform level.
All the signs at the station are in both Chinese and English, with all the station names of Metro Line 1 displayed above the doors at the platforms. The nursing rooms inside the station are furnished with baby cribs, sofas, washbasins, and coffee tables.
Taiyuan Metro Line 1 will not only offer convenient travel options, but also provide a range of passenger-friendly services. Eligible stations will be equipped with convenience stores, each train car will offer courtesy seats, and 10 high-traffic stations will have mother-and-baby rooms.
All 24 stations will be equipped with AED defibrillators. Additionally, at major transport hubs like Taiyuan Railway Station and Taiyuan South Railway Station, services such as high-speed train schedule inquiries and temporary luggage storage will be available.
Taiyuan Metro Line 1 is also working on measures to allow passengers exiting Taiyuan South Station to bypass security checks when boarding the metro.
