According to the recently released analysis report on the operation of Shanxi's tourism market during the 2024 Qingming Festival holiday, Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, took the lead in the province in terms of tourist reception.

According to Chinese online travel agency Ctrip, compared to previous years, this year's Qingming Festival holiday saw a shift of tourist travel focus towards inland areas, with a 62 percent year-on-year increase in Central China.

During the holiday season, Shanxi's flower-viewing economy boomed. Taiyuan introduced flower-viewing and tour bus routes to connect popular flower-viewing spots, attracting a vast amount of tourists.

Driven by the "spring economy", all cities in Shanxi experienced an increase in tourist flow. The tourist influx ranking from high to low is as follows: Taiyuan, Yuncheng, Jinzhong, Changzhi, Linfen, Lyuliang, Datong, Xinzhou, Jincheng, Shuozhou, and Yangquan.

Taiyuan stands out as a provincial tourism hotspot, offering rich themed cultural and tourism products related to flower-viewing, outings, and exhibitions.
