The list of China's top 10 exhibitions was recently announced, with six exhibitions from North China's Shanxi province making the cut. Among them is an exhibition on Shanxi's handmade-paper techniques, which was organized by Taiyuan's Shuangta Museum.
In order to promote the quality and quantity of exhibitions at museums, the Chinese Museums Association and the China Cultural Relics News released the 2023 China top 10 exhibition showcase event.
Since the start of the selection process in January of this year, 132 exhibitions were highlighted, including 117 domestic exhibitions and 15 international exhibitions. They involved 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
Shanxi has a total of six exhibitions on the list. Besides the exhibition from Shuangta Museum, the others were organized by the Shanxi Museum, the Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, the Datong Sculpture Museum, the Jinzhong Cultural Relics Protection Research Center, and the Linfen Museum.
