The cyberspace administration of the Taiyuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China has recently produced the first season of a food documentary series entitled "The Taste of Dragon City", which spotlights food from Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.
This series consists of six episodes, each of which focuses on representative local delicacies, including Shanxi mature vinegar, wheat-made food, Taiyuan Tounao, Yangqu millet, and potatoes from Loufan county.
The series showcases the unique production processes of these dishes and unveils the cultural stories behind them.
In the first episode, viewers can explore the history and evolution of Taiyuan Tounao, a medicinal soup made of mutton and seven herbal medicines.
