The launching ceremony for the first batch of Shanxi's cultural memory projects was held in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Jan 17. 

Shanxi is a location with rich cultural history and countless cultural relics and memories. 

Its collection of cultural memory projects from the previous year received a lot of attention from all walks of life, with votes and related short video views exceeding 5.3 million and 3 million respectively. 

Based on online voting and the expert evaluation, the first batch of Shanxi's cultural memory projects totaled 32. It mainly includes cultural heritage items and cultural landscapes located in 11 cities across Shanxi. They all showcase the long history and profound heritage of the province.
