Xinghualing district in Taiyuan city, North China's Shanxi province, recently announced its ninth batch of intangible cultural heritage items. 

The ninth list consists of 15 items that relate to traditional skills, medicine, music and fine arts.

The district hoped that relevant government departments and public institutions will improve the protection of intangible cultural heritage. Everyone should ensure that intangible cultural heritage with historical, cultural and scientific value is effectively protected, passed on and carried forward.
