Taiyuan Wusu International Airport in the city of Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, will start implementing its winter flight plan at the end of October.
The Chinese civil aviation system is adjusted twice a year. From the last Sunday in March to the last Saturday in October, all airports in China implement their summer and autumn flight plans, while from the last Sunday in October to the last Saturday in next March, the winter and spring flight plans are in effect.
Taiyuan airport will add or increase frequency of several flights, including the new flight between Taiyuan and Foshan in South China's Guangdong province, and regular cargo flights between Taiyuan and Moscow.
The Taiyuan-Foshan airline operated by China United Airlines Co is scheduled to run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The flight departs from Foshan at 09:40 and arrives in Taiyuan at 12:25, while the return flight departs from Taiyuan at 13:15 and arrives in Foshan at 16:15.
The air routes to Macao will resume operations, meaning Taiyuan residents will be able to fly to Macao in just three hours.
Regular cargo flights between Taiyuan and Moscow will be operated by China Eastern Airlines and contribute to the development of bilateral trade in China and Russia.
