Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, has had 976 buyers from 360 local enterprises and organizations participate in the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which opened in Shanghai on Nov 5. 

These participants consist of importing companies, universities, large hospitals, scientific research institutions, e-commerce companies, foreign-funded companies, and domestic trade and circulation companies. 

On-site negotiations have yielded fruitful results, and as of Nov 7, Taiyuan buyers have signed agreements for 13 joint projects. 

Shanxi Meet All Chain Supermarket Co signed three contracts with Theland New Cloud (Shanghai) Digimart, Bangji (Nanjing) Grain and Oil Co and Louis Dreyfus (Tianjin) International Trade Co to buy dairy products, sunflower seed oil, canola oil, Turkish olive oil, and corn oil products. 

In addition, the Taiyuan People's Hospital and Second People's Hospital of Taiyuan signed 10 agreements to purchase medical equipment from other domestic and overseas companies in related fields. 

While participating in international procurement, Taiyuan's participants have also been organizing investment promotions and carrying out international exchanges and other activities to obtain a larger market space and more development opportunities and promote Taiyuan.
