Taiyuan's 15 projects were included on a list of 987 national 5G+ medical and healthcare application pilot projects recently announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Health Commission.
The listed projects involve 5G-based first aid, remote diagnosis, traditional Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment, hospital management, and a medical cloud virtual reality platform.
Medical institutions in the city, such as the Taiyuan Emergency Medical Center, Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Yangqu county's medical group, and Shanxi Acupuncture Hospital, are undertaking the projects.
The selection of the 5G+ medical and healthcare application pilot projects is meant to incubate more 5G smart medical products, new businesses, and new models that are reproducible and transferable across China.
