Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, signed 13 projects worth 12.72 billion yuan ($1.97 billion) with Xiamen in East China's Fujian province on Sept 9 during the 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) being held in Xiamen.

The contracted projects will be carried out by Taiyuan, Xiamen, and enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. They involve the construction of a big data center, an aviation software testing platform, and the establishment of an accounting firm.

In recent years, Taiyuan has been promoting investment and project construction with better policies, mechanisms, and services.

In the first seven months of this year, the city signed agreements for 50 projects with a total planned investment of 128.19 billion yuan from outside Shanxi, ranking first in Shanxi.
