A magnificent outdoor exhibition garden of Taiyuan city -- capital of North China's Shanxi province -- has been unveiled to the public at the ongoing 2021 International Horticultural Exposition in Yangzhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

The ornamental garden, which covers 1,488 square meters, was revealed at the expo's opening on April 8. It features a typical traditional northern classical garden style with 12 individual landscapes including an arch, pavilions, a landscape corridor, a lake, bridges and potted landscapes that highlight regional plants from Shanxi.

The effort has reportedly attracted the attention of many visitors from home and abroad.

Co-sponsored by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the China Flower Association and Jiangsu Provincial Government, the expo is the second of its kind held in China following the Beijing International Horticultural Expo in 2019.

Themed on a "Green City, Healthy Life," the 184-day expo aims to advocate green gardening, plan green development and looks forward to a vision of universal green sharing.

A total of 64 outdoor exhibition gardens, including gardens from 26 Chinese cities and those from 25 foreign cities and international organizations, are on display at the 230-hectare expo which runs until Oct 8.
