Taiyuan Wusu Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Taiyuan city, capital of North China's Shanxi province, generated 9.29 billion yuan ($1.44 billion) in total import and export value in 2020.

The zone's import and export value ranked 43rd among the country's 92 comprehensive bonded zones and 71st among the country's 140 special customs supervision zones.

Its import and export value increased by 152 times compared with 2019, with the year-on-year growth rate ranking among the top three special customs supervision zones and comprehensive bonded zones of China.

The Wusu Comprehensive Bonded Zone – the first bonded zone in Shanxi province – currently has 334 registered enterprises.

In the past year, the bonded zone introduced a series of measures to stabilize business for enterprises and benefit companies. The zone built open platforms, improved development quality, accelerated successful experience promotion, and optimized regulatory services. As a result, more than 100 new enterprises were established in the zone. 

Meanwhile, the zone introduced several preferential policies and promoted the cluster development of export-oriented industrial enterprises. Throughout the last year, 12 enterprises and 18 corporate executives were awarded 28.09 million yuan.
