The Taiyuan cultural relics bureau has been integrating its cultural relics' protection with the latest technology, by creating an intelligent tourist attraction platform covering all the scenic spots of Taiyuan city, capital of North China's Shanxi province.

The regional intelligent tourist attraction platform takes the Jinci or Jin Temple -- Shanxi's best-known temple complex -- as its central point and includes 14 cultural relics and attractions in the city. It aims to establish a safety system covering all tourist attractions in the city.

The platform consists of an integrated security management and control sub-platform, a travel experience sub-platform, the upgrade and transformation of museum security system, full WiFi coverage and a smart parking system.

The security management and control sub-platform can view all the conditions of scenic areas through an online map and integrates detection, control, maintenance, security, emergency and inspection functions, so as to achieve real-time control and management of all the scenic areas.

Visitors can plan their trips, book tickets online, utilize smart parking and if necessary, make emergency calls through the travel experience sub-platform, by using their mobile phones.

The intelligent tourist attraction platform will be completed by the end of the current year.
