Foreign-related marriage services can be offered in civil affairs bureaus in Shanxi province cities from Jan 1, 2018 on, according to the Shanxi Civil Affairs Department.

Civil affairs bureaus will handle registration of marriages of permanent residents with overseas Chinese and foreigners within their respective administrative areas. However, the department will stop offering related services.
