The Shanxi leg of the 13th China Patent Week was launched in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, on Nov 29, according to local officials. 

This year's China Patent Week is themed around intellectual property promotes high-quality economic development.

The organizers said they aims to promote intellectual property development in Shanxi province, strengthen the creation, protection, use and promotion of intellectual property and advance new technologies and new industries. 

During the patent week, Shanxi enterprises, colleges, research institutes and inventors will participate in online and offline patent exhibitions and fairs, carrying out project matchmaking. 

Experts are being invited to lecture on intellectual property pledge financing, intellectual property laws and related policies in schools, companies and industrial parks. 

Shanxi branch of Bank of Communications and Jinneng Group Co, Taiyuan University of Technology and Taiyuan Tyr·Ed Technology Co signed agreements on intellectual property pledge financing and patent transactions at the launch ceremony of the patent week.

Two Shanxi representatives winning China Patent Excellence Awards also shared their experiences in patent creation and applications during the event.
