The fifth Taiyuan youth entrepreneurship and innovation competition kick started on Nov 22, according to the organizers. 

They said the competition is divided into entrepreneurship and innovation categories. 

After preliminary heats, 15 programs in the entrepreneurship category and 12 programs in the innovation category will be selected to go into the finals. 

The competition is open for registration nationwide, organizers said.

Startups or directors of entrepreneurial teams under the age of 40 can participate.

The registration form is available on youth.taiyuan.gov.cn and all entries need to be sent by e-mail to tongchuangbei1122@163.com and tytswqnwh@163.com. 

To date, more than 3,000 people in over 700 entries have participated in the event.
