The 2019 China (Shanxi) Clean Energy Expo was held at China (Taiyuan) Coal Transaction Center in Taiyuan, in Shanxi province, between June 28 and 30.

Jointly hosted by the China Renewable Energy Society, China Coal Museum and Shanxi Electric Power Consulting Center, the expo had a theme of "clean, low carbon and green development".

Organizers said it focused on coal green utilization, new energy, energy storage, energy conservation and environmental protection fields and displayed the latest technologies and products in the clean energy sector.

The expo was divided into six exhibition areas for clean heating engineering demonstrations and displays of clean power and equipment, new energy, energy storage and energy efficiency technology application. 

There were also displays of new energy vehicles and charging support, as well as clean and efficient utilization of coal, all within a total exhibition area of 36,000 square meters. 

More than 150 companies, including 27 companies with individual exhibition areas of more than 100 sq m, attended the expo. 

Adding further to the event, expo organizers invited 14 research institutes, government delegations from the energy-rich Datong and Lyuliang cities, and 15 media groups in the energy field. 

In addition, 10 financial companies including China Construction Bank and the Export-Import Bank of China were invited to the expo to help further build a funding platform for the new energy industry. 

A clean energy development summit was also held during the expo -- with experts and entrepreneurs in the energy field discussing energy development strategy, clean utilization of energy, smart energy and hydrogen energy development.
