Shanxi Library in Taiyuan city opened a 24-hour reading studio on April 23 – World Book Day – to encourage local readers.

The 24-hour studio in the first basement in the library's Changfeng Hall consists of reading, exhibition and convention areas -- offering book reading, seminars, lectures as well as cultural creative display services.

It has a rich collection of books, especially the classics in literature, history and philosophy. 

The studio will pilot 24-hour running every day. Readers can enter freely between 9:00 and 22:00 hrs, while enter only by library card from 22:00 to 9:00.
