Shanxi Extreme Sports Center, one of big venues for the second Chinese National Youth Games, which is set to officially open in the province in August, is expected to complete its construction by April 30.

The extreme sports center covers an area of over 1.3 hectares in Dayu town, in Yangquan county, Taiyuan city.

It will host skateboarding, rock climbing and freestyle bicycle motocross events during the games.

With an investment of 50 million yuan ($7.46 million), the center was designed and constructed in accordance with international standards and once completed will be one of top skateboarding venues in China.
