Yuxian county in Yangquan city was recently selected as a cultural tourism and wellness cluster area in North China's Shanxi province.

The county boasts rich cultural and tourism resources, including six national key cultural heritage sites, over 360 tourist attractions and cultural relics, a collection of more than 1,100 cultural relics in local museums, two provincial leisure resorts, two forest parks, and five traditional ancient villages.

This year, the county has focused on the theme of "hot springs and wellness." With Liangjiazhai Hot Spring Wellness Theme Town as its core, it has integrated the surrounding ancient village homestays and rural sightseeing resources to create a demonstration area that integrates health assessment, hot spring therapy, and food and accommodation services. 

The county has also built distinctive homestays, camping bases, a senior care center, an aviation flight camp site and several tourist attractions along Taihang No 1 tourist highway, aiming to develop it into a model of integrated cultural tourism and wellness development in eastern Shanxi.
