A ceremony for project signing, construction, and commissioning new production was held in Yangquan on Dec 1.

During this event, the city signed agreements on 15 projects with a total investment of 5.99 billion yuan ($838.14) and started construction on 55 projects with a total investment of 10.04 billion yuan.

These cover various fields such as new energy, digital economy, modern agriculture, and equipment manufacturing, playing a crucial role in promoting the development of Yangquan's modern industrial system.

Among them, a 10 GWh lithium (sodium) ion battery power and energy storage project, with a total investment of 3.9 billion yuan, is being invested and built by Taihang Century (Yangquan) New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Co in three phases. 

The first phase of construction will have a scale of 3 GWh, along with factory buildings, research and development buildings, power centers, and safety inspection centers to be built. 

After the completion of the first phase, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 2 billion yuan, further assisting Yangquan in building a new energy battery industry cluster with an output value of over 100 billion yuan.
