Exhibition hall of famous Yangquan sci-fi writer set up

The Liu Cixin Exhibition Hall opened at Saiyu Primary School in Yangquan, North China's Shanxi province, on Oct 7. 

The 60-year-old Liu Cixin is a renowned Chinese science fiction writer. In 2006, his epic science fiction novel The Three-Body Problem won the Hugo Award for Best Novel, marking the first time an Asian writer received the prestigious award. The Three-Body Problem is widely regarded as a milestone in Chinese science fiction literature. Currently, his works have been translated into over 30 languages and distributed worldwide.

The 100-sqaure-meter Liu Cixin Exhibition Hall at his alma mater Saiyu Primary School showcases more than 300 items, including photographs and works from various periods of Liu's career, as well as film and television adaptations of his works and related merchandise. 

Hou Huiming, principal of Saiyu Primary School, said that by exhibiting Liu's science fiction works, students will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the marvelous world of science fiction. The new establishment aims to stimulate their curiosity about the world, nature, and the universe and encourages them to be passionate and adventurous.
