Updated: 2023-07-28

Ceramic enterprises from Pingding county in Yangquan city, North China's Shanxi province, showcased the area's ceramic and earthenware industrial profile at the China (Beijing) International Fine Ceramics Exhibition in Beijing on July 21-24.

More than 400 products such as ceramic plates, bowls, vases, earthen pots, purple clay cups, and teapots received great popularity among the residents of Beijing, buyers from other provinces, and international guests.

"I brought more than 30 products and most of them have been sold. The exhibition provided a platform for face-to-face communication among exhibitors and purchasers, maximizing the potential for trade and expanding distribution channels," said Guo Weigang, the person in charge of Yinghe Purple Clay Research and Development Co based in Pingding county.

During the event, the Pingding Earthenware Industry Development Center was awarded the Best Organization Award.

The China (Beijing) International Fine Ceramics Exhibition is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition in the ceramic industry in China, featuring the widest range of categories and the highest level of professionalism.

This year's exhibition attracted more than 2,000 enterprises from over 20 major ceramic production areas in China. International brands and artists from Hungary, South Korea, Japan, and other countries also participated.

Pingding has a long history and outstanding craftsmanship in the ceramic industry. In recent years, the county has been promoting the transformation of the ceramic and earthenware industries, implementing favorable policies, improving infrastructure, ensuring funding, and cultivating professional talents. By the end of last year, it had nearly 120 ceramic and earthenware enterprises, with over 1,400 employees, and achieved an annual output value of 260 million yuan ($36.32 million).
