Yangquan makes breakthrough in cross-border e-commerce

Updated: 2022-02-08

The city of Yangquan in North China's Shanxi province recently carried out its first cross-border e-commerce transaction.

The goods declared by Yangquan Zhongjia Abrasives Co for "B2B direct export of cross-border e-commerce (supervision code 9710)" were exported to Costa Rica after being cleared by Yangquan customs.

The 9710 code is used for goods exported directly to overseas enterprises through cross-border logistics after domestic cross-border e-commerce enterprises have concluded transactions with overseas enterprises through cross-border e-commerce platforms.

This business code can help enterprises reduce the cost, circulation and turnover of goods.

The effective implementation of cross-border e-commerce B2B export business is a major part of Yangquan customs' efforts to implement various preferential policies for local enterprises.

Since last year, Yangquan customs has introduced specific measures to optimize the local business environment and stabilize foreign trade in light of the actual development of foreign trade in its jurisdiction.

Yan Xiaoping, director of Yangquan customs, said that the customs will further strengthen regulation, optimize services, and promote the high-quality development of new cross-border e-commerce.
