Yangquan launches training on data sharing

A data sharing work training conference was held in Yangquan city in Shanxi province on Oct 22, with more than 100 civil servants attending, according to the organizers. 

The training was to enable government officials to master the operations method of the Yangquan Municipal Affairs Data Sharing Website, to start trial operations soon. 

The training included logins, password changes, information maintenance, resource applications, information checking and business system management on the website. All trainees got official accounts on the website after the training. 

Promoting the interconnection of different information systems and the sharing of information resources has been focus of e-government work in recent years, so as to facilitate residents' affairs, officials said. 

At present, the data exchange platform has been completed and more than 140 million pieces of data at provincial and municipal levels have been collated. 

Through data sharing between government departments, the Yangquan Municipal Affairs Data Sharing Website can improve civil servants' services to local residents and reduce errors, said Shi Yanfei, responsible for data sharing at the Yangquan federation of trade unions.
