Pingyao International Photography Festival

The 14th Pingyao International Photography Festival (PIP), from Sept 19 to 25, 2014 in Pingyao ancient town of Shanxi province, winning more domestic and overseas fame. Having a theme of "Life of Photography, World of Dream", the annual festival attracted over 2,000 photographers from the USA, Germany, and Australia, altogether 32 countries and regions all over the world, holding a total of 400 exhibitions. Thousands of works gave the visitors special perspectives through the lens. A rich body of events was also held during the festival to engage the visitors coming to the ancient town more, for example, the micro film festival, the opening of the Beautiful Shanxi Culture Park, activities in the Pear Garden, and investment fairs to secure capital for cultural projects.
