Having some fun in a pear garden

The Pear Garden in Pingyao county, Shanxi province, had a pear-picking festival this year and invited local people, individual photographers, journalists, and bicycle lovers from Taiyuan, the capital city of the province, to come enjoy some games and get close to nature, in September.

The games included a tug-of-war, counter-strike, and other field sports, with the winners getting a small prize. The participants could also take time out to get a taste of the pears, or relax amidst the scenery and enjoy the autumn and the harvest.

Many county leaders also decided to join in the activities.
