The robotics team at Taiyuan Institute of Technology (TIT) is abuzz with activity as students prepare for the 2026 national robotics competition season.

Established in 2004, the team brings together students from various disciplines, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. Over the years, it has developed into a well-structured team with distinct roles in mechanical, electrical control, and operations, shaped through ongoing recruitment, hands-on training, and post-competition evaluations.

Over the past two decades, the team has excelled in both the China University Robot Competition’s ROBOCON and RoboMaster categories. From their first national victory in 2014 to clinching the ROBOCON national championship again in 2025, and consistently placing in the top 16 in RoboMaster, the team exemplifies the potential of TIT as an application-oriented undergraduate institution.

TIT integrates academic competitions with innovation and entrepreneurship education into its talent cultivation system. Former team members, armed with solid project experience, have secured positions at leading companies like DJI and Hikvision or joined research institutes to pursue advanced technological research and development.

As preparations for the new season continue, TIT team remains committed to learning through competition and integrating education with contests, charting a new journey of technology and innovation.
