Datong city's science and technology bureau has announced the 2024 list of rewarded technological innovation platforms and cutting-edge enterprises, with 16 entities selected to receive awards, marking a concrete step in implementing the city's "Double Sixteen" talent policy.
The awards cover multiple levels and types of technological innovation entities, including provincial key laboratories, provincial technology innovation centers, municipal new research and development institutions, provincial maker spaces, and enterprises recognized for high-tech innovation.
The recognized technological innovation platforms span frontier fields such as rail transit, biomedicine, energy technology, network security, and modern agriculture. This demonstrates the continuous improvement of Datong's technological innovation system and the steady enhancement of its industrial support capabilities.
An official from the science and technology bureau stated that the "Double Sixteen" talent policy aims to guide innovation entities to increase R&D investment, attract high-level talent, and enhance independent innovation capabilities through tangible financial support.
