In alignment with the national strategy for promoting fitness, the 2025 "Village Football Super League" Shanxi Division – Xiaoyi Village Super Football League – commenced on May 11 at the Xiaoyi Vocational Education Center Stadium in Xiaoyi county-level city, Lyuliang.

Twenty-four teams from across the province will compete every Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm to 10 pm, May 11 to July 6, promising spectators a series of thrilling matches.

The Shanxi division is integrating local culture into the event's design. During intervals, spectators will be treated to performances of intangible cultural heritage, folk dances, and drone shows, offering a unique cultural experience alongside the match's excitement. "We aim to build a bridge for urban and rural exchange through football, making sports a new engine for rural vitalization," said the event's organizers.

The event also features a cultural and creative market showcasing intangible heritage products, where spectators can savor unique local delicacies, watch traditional artisans demonstrate their skills, and purchase creative products.
