This event is part of the 10th Cross-Strait Cultural Exchange Event, which celebrates the shared heritage of the legendary Emperor Yan, also known as Shennong. Business representatives from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered in Emperor Yan's hometown to discuss cooperation.

Li Fei, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Shanxi Province, stated in her speech that in recent years, Shanxi has actively promoted cultural exchanges between Shanxi and Taiwan, continuously deepening industrial cooperation and maintaining a positive trend in economic and cultural exchanges. She hoped this event would encourage more Taiwan businesses to invest in Shanxi and promote cross-Strait integration.

Xu Hao, mayor of Gaoping, highlighted that the city is accelerating the creation of a "1+4" modern industrial system and rapidly forming a 100-billion-yuan ($13.8 billion) pillar industry cluster. Home to Shanxi's first cross-Strait (Gaoping) Industrial Park, the city is promoting Taiwan capital concentration and Shanxi-Taiwan integration.

During the exchange activity, Zheng Weijian, deputy mayor of Gaoping, presented Gaoping's history, cultural heritage, industrial development, and future plans. Taiwan business representatives actively engaged in discussions.

Before the event, Taiwan business representatives visited enterprises such as Shanxi Qianhe Agricultural and Commercial Group and Shanxi Zhonghe Yixin Group, gaining insights into Gaoping's unique agricultural and food industry innovations.
