On April 28, the China (Shanxi) - Kazakhstan (Aktobe Region) Investment and Trade Cooperation Forum was held in Shanxi province. The event saw the participation of over 180 representatives from the Aktobe Region delegation, Shanxi provincial departments, and various enterprises.

The forum featured promotional videos showcasing Shanxi and Aktobe Region. Shanxi's video highlighted its rich historical and cultural heritage, abundant energy resources, and dynamic development. The Aktobe Region's video presented its distinctive regional charm and industrial strengths.

Aktobe Region, known as the economic and cultural hub of western Kazakhstan, is renowned for its oil production and substantial chromium reserves. The visit of the Aktobe Region Governor and his delegation is expected to invigorate bilateral cooperation, enhancing ties in trade, cultural tourism, and academic research.

The two sides' officials detailed their respective investment environments, incentive policies, and key areas for collaboration. Prominent Shanxi enterprises such as Shanxi Construction Investment Group Co and Huayuan International Land Port Group Co, along with Kazakh companies like Ramazan Group and EPC System, presented their respective strengths and cooperation objectives.

A dedicated business matching area facilitated in-depth exchanges between enterprises from both sides, focusing on sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and agriculture to explore potential collaboration opportunities.

A senior official from the Department of Commerce of Shanxi Province emphasized that the forum has established a crucial platform for exchange and cooperation between Shanxi and Aktobe Region. Looking ahead, the two regions are expected to forge a multi-faceted partnership, charting a new chapter of opening-up, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit.
