Tianjin Port to fuel Shanxi's high-quality development
Updated: 2025-04-08
A promotional conference for Tianjin Port's full-chain services aimed at supporting high-quality development in North China's Shanxi province was held in Taiyuan on April 2.
The event sought to implement the strategic cooperation framework agreement between the governments of Tianjin and Shanxi, promoting land-sea integrated transportation through the "Jinhai-Jinmen" multimodal transport corridor.
Participants issued an initiative integrating road, port, shipping, and trade sector resources to establish a seamless multimodal transport channel, provide full-chain logistics services, enhance logistics efficiency, and reduce overall logistics costs, supporting the development of Shanxi's export-oriented economy.
Attendees also witnessed, via video link, the departure of the "Jinhai-Jinmen" sea-rail intermodal train from the Zhongding Logistics Park. This train, carrying 50 containers of photovoltaic products, will reach Tianjin Port in 48 hours – saving one to two days compared to traditional land transport – and then head to the Netherlands and Algeria.
As one of the main initiators of the "Jinhai-Jinmen" initiative, Huayuan International Land Port Group will collaborate with leading industry enterprises and local companies in Shanxi to enhance connectivity between infrastructure, services, trade, and talent. This robust support aims to drive Shanxi's high-quality development and comprehensive transformation.
