In recent years, Shanxi province has focused on deepening industry-education integration by establishing provincial and municipal industry-education alliances and sector-specific communities to connect the education, talent, innovation, and industry chains.

The Shanxi Provincial Education Department has prioritized the construction of 38 provincial-level specialty industry colleges at vocational schools, covering all professional towns and most industrial chains. This has fostered a new development pattern where vocational education and regional economies thrive together.

The department has also established 10 provincial-level municipal industry-education alliances and encouraged leading industry enterprises to collaborate with top-tier universities and vocational schools to spearhead the construction of sector-specific industry-education communities.

One notable example is the "Cloud Accounting Town", a one-stop service platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, co-developed by Shanxi Finance & Taxation College and a cloud accounting company. Thirty teachers have registered as platform experts and staff, with over 600 students serving as offline intelligent accounting factory personnel, providing services to more than 30,000 enterprises.

The Ancient Architecture Industry College of Shanxi Vocational University of Engineering Science and Technology has built a school-enterprise community, attracting leading enterprises for collaborative education. For instance, Shanxi Construction Investment Linfen Building Industry Company is constructing the nation's largest intelligent manufacturing base for ancient building components, equipped with 20,000 square meters of internship and training facilities.

Shanxi will continue to prioritize industry-education integration, focus on vocational and general education convergence, and deepen the integration of the education, talent, innovation, and industry chains to build a modern education system.
