On March 19, North China's Shanxi province witnessed the departure of its first "single document" multimodal container train, marking a significant step forward in reducing logistics costs and enhancing efficiency.

Compared to traditional multimodal container transport, the single document system is a streamlined process requiring a single consignment, a single document, and a one-time settlement.

Yi Junfeng, deputy general manager of Datong Railway Logistics Center, explained that the single document system uses data sharing based on the 95306 platform and maritime shipping booking systems. This ensures seamless logistics information flow across rail, sea, and road transport, significantly boosting transportation efficiency and reducing overall logistics costs for companies.

Zhao Chunfeng, head of Tiefeng Container Transport Co, highlighted the benefits: "Previously, we had to coordinate with multiple departments, including railways, ports, and shipping companies. The document processing was time-consuming, and there were multiple cargo transfers. Now, we only need to submit our requirements once on the 95306 platform. The railway department handles the entire rail-sea logistics service seamlessly."

China Railway Taiyuan Group has conducted extensive market research at domestic trade ports and developed several single document logistics products, such as ethylene glycol, pig iron, and ferrochrome. By providing priority vehicle allocation, train scheduling, and transport, the group is committed to ensuring this project's effective implementation.
