The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the 2024 Green Manufacturing List on Feb 18, with 23 companies and parks in North China's Shanxi province making the cut.

Among them were 21 green factories, including Shanxi CIG Construction Industry Co; one green industrial park, the Yuncheng Economic and Technological Development Zone; and one green supply chain management company, Shanxi Yangmei Chemical Machinery (Group) Co.

Green factories are enterprises that optimize land use, utilize environmentally friendly raw materials, adopt clean production methods, recycle waste, and rely on low-carbon energy, serving as key implementation units in green manufacturing. Green industrial parks, meanwhile, are platforms that gather green factories and infrastructure, and green supply chain management companies play a crucial role in driving green manufacturing throughout the supply chain.

Moving forward, the province will take full advantage of its green factories, green industrial parks, and green supply chain management companies, and promote advanced experiences and typical practices to continuously enhance green manufacturing.
