On Feb 11, three international visitors from the United States and Australia delved into the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) market in Yuncheng city, North China's Shanxi province, immersing themselves in the unique charm of the city's cultural heritage.

At the market, an ICH inheritor skillfully wielded the broadsword of Guan Gong, a general from the late Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220), eliciting applause and cheers from the onlookers. During the interactive session, the three international visitors also attempted to lift the over 40-kilogram broadsword.

"The broadsword is very heavy; I can barely lift it. But posing with the broadsword is very cool, and I want to make an effort," said Jacob, one of the international visitors.

At the Hedong kite exhibition area, the visitors learned about the various types of kites and the process of making them.

They also got hands-on experience in making Yuncheng's specialty cut noodles, dadao qiemian, under the guidance of a chef. "This was a fun experience. I tried learning to cut the noodles; it was a bit challenging but very delicious," said Sourve, one of the international visitors.

The group also recited the ancient Chinese poem Ascending the Stork Tower alongside Yuncheng's ICH IP characters and other visitors, immersing themselves in Yuncheng's unique cultural and festive atmosphere.

"You can feel the warmth here. This has been a truly wonderful experience, and I hope all of you can come to experience it as well," said Kelvin, one of the international visitors.
