North China's Shanxi province's total regional GDP in 2024 reached 2.55 trillion yuan ($350.1 billion), representing a 2.3-percent increase over the previous year at constant prices.

Taking a closer look, the added value of the primary industry was 139.25 billion yuan, up by 4.0 percent; the added value of the secondary industry was 1.1 trillion yuan, showing a 1.8-percent increase; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 1.31 trillion yuan, marking a 2.4-percent growth.

Throughout the year, the added value of the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries industries (including related services) in the province reached 147.78 billion yuan, calculated at comparable prices, marking a 4.0-percent increase from the previous year.

The year-over-year growth rate of the added value in industries above designated size in the province remained steady, with a 0.9-percentage point increase compared to the preceding three quarters.

The added value of the province's service industry increased by 2.4 percent compared to the previous year, accelerating by 0.7 percentage points from the preceding three quarters.

Total fixed asset investment in the province rose by 3.2 percent compared to the previous year, accelerating by 1.2 percentage points from the preceding three quarters.

Throughout the year, the total number of visitors to key monitored scenic spots in the province reached 101.44 million, marking a 16.9-percent increase from the previous year. Ticket revenue amounted to 3.15 billion yuan, reflecting a 16.7-percent growth.

The per capita disposable income of residents in the province for the year stood at 32,441 yuan, indicating a 4.9-percent increase from the previous year.
