Shanxi enacts financial measures to boost consumption
Updated: 2025-02-07
North China's Shanxi province recently implemented 11 measures focusing on automobile consumption, household appliances, and home decoration to enrich financial offerings and stimulate market consumption.
Financial institutions are encouraged to determine car loan issuance ratios, terms, and interest rates based on borrowers' credit status and repayment capabilities for transactions that comply with the "Implementation Rules for Subsidies for Replacing Old Cars with New Ones in Shanxi".
Relevant departments will facilitate the trade-in of old household appliances and home decoration consumer goods. To further reduce consumer transaction and financing costs, they promote "zero down payment" for household appliances below a certain amount, along with additional benefits like interest-free installments and fee waivers.
Efforts are being made to enhance financial services for catering and cultural tourism. Popular tourism destinations will offer discounts on shopping tours and promote diverse discounts, such as doubling credit card points, cashback, and discount vouchers.
Relevant departments will also enrich financial services for emerging consumption formats, introducing more specialized financial products to meet demands for digital consumption, green consumption, smart retail, and "internet+ traditional economy".
