The third session of the 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Jan 20.

The closing plenary was presided over by Zhang Chunlin, chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the CPPCC. Zhang emphasized the importance of focusing on major tasks such as conducting comprehensive energy revolution reforms, establishing a new beacon for inland opening-up, promoting ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, and contributing to the rise of Central China. These tasks are part of efforts to support the high-quality development of the province's economy and society.

Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of addressing the "key small matters" that have a large effect on the overall happiness of the people, and stressed the continuous deepening of Shanxi CPPCC members' commitment to serving the people and improving the lives of the people through practical actions.

The closing plenary was attended by 517 members and saw the passing of resolutions on the work report of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee, the report on the proposals submitted since the second session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee, the report on the examination of proposals during the session by the Proposal Review Committee of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee, and the political resolution of the session.
