North China's Shanxi province is using next-generation information technology to empower its entire industrial system, accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system with unique Shanxi characteristics.

During the opening conference of the third session of the 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Jan 16, attending political advisors engaged in discussions on digital and real economy integration to empower industrial transformation.

"Shanxi's information integration industry chain has developed rapidly in recent years under the policy guidance of the provincial government," said Wang Yanwei, a political advisor and deputy general manager of Shanxi Cloud Era Technology Co.

Based on the current development status, he suggested employing enterprises, universities, and research institutes along the industry chain to research core, common, frontier, and cross-industry integration technologies, promoting the high-end and intelligent development of the industry chain.

Wang Zhenyu, a political advisor and chairman of Shanxi Financial Holding Group, stated that public data, characterized by its large-scale potential value and strong driving force, serves as a key breakthrough point for nurturing the data element market. He recommended breaking down "data barriers" among different levels, regions, systems, and departments to expand the scale of public data resource supply.

Sun Qing, a political advisor and chairman of Shanxi Chenhan Digital Technology Co, said the company has always been dedicated to exploring the deep integration of digital technology with Shanxi's local culture. 

He expressed that Chenhan Digital Technology will continuously improve its technological capabilities in virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, digital exhibition displays, and more to drive the digital transformation of Shanxi's cultural industry.
