Political advisors to the 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) have, over the past year, actively engaged in consultations and advisory activities, through visiting industrial parks, enterprises, and rural areas to support the province's reform and development agenda.
This year, after the opening conference of the third session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee on Jan 16, the advisors expressed their commitment to continuing to contribute their wisdom and efforts to promote high-quality economic and social development across the province.
Over 500 political advisors attended the session. At the event, a work report reviewed the work of 2024 from seven aspects and emphasized the five key areas of focus for the CPPCC Shanxi Committee in 2025.
"The work report mentioned fulfilling advisory responsibilities around issues concerning people's livelihoods and social concerns, which is inspiring," said Hu Wenqing, a member of CPPCC Shanxi Committee and the director of the People's Hospital of Changzhi City. He expressed plans to optimize the allocation of high-quality medical resources and innovate technology applications to provide better healthcare services to the public.
The session will last four and a half days. The main agenda includes listening to and reviewing the work report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Shanxi Committee and the report on the status of proposals, attending the third session of the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress, and discussing the government work report and other relevant reports.
