The two-day 2025 Shanxi Coal Trading Conference hosted by the China Taiyuan Coal Trading Center opened on Dec 12, aiming to promote the construction of a high-standard coal trading market, facilitate efficient connections between coal enterprises, ensure stable and reliable coal supply, and build a unified national coal market.

During the opening ceremony, the China Taiyuan Coal Trading Center unveiled the latest achievements in launching unified online coal trading support services for the province. It signed strategic cooperation agreements with relevant railway bureaus to enhance coal logistics efficiency, providing efficient, convenient, and high-quality railway transport services for coal traders nationwide.

The conference facilitated the signing, compilation, and submission of medium to long-term coal contracts for 2025 in Shanxi, helping coal supply and demand enterprises communicate their 2025 coal transportation needs with relevant railway bureaus. Throughout the event, 10 specialized sessions showcased industry reforms, industrial developments, new technological advancements, and modern coal service demonstrations.

The event marks the 14th annual trading conference hosted by the China Taiyuan Coal Trading Center. In recent years, the center has actively implemented its digital transformation strategy, focusing on constructing a high-standard modern energy comprehensive service platform and advancing as a leading enterprise in digital platforms.

Currently, the center has over 29,000 registered traders, with an annual trading volume exceeding 1 billion metric tons and an annual spot trading volume surpassing 180 million tons. The platform's influence and credibility continue to grow, demonstrating initial success in facilitating the digital transformation of traditional industries.
